ManyChat automation: flows set up in your account and connected to your systems

What can be automated with ManyChat
Each row is a trigger and what follows it. Your project uses the rows that fit your process.
| When this happens | What the automation does |
|---|---|
| A customer comments a keyword on a Facebook or Instagram post | A chat flow opens in their inbox |
| A customer starts a chat | The flow collects name, mobile number and order details and writes them to Google Sheets |
| A customer types a free-text question | An AI step answers from information you approved |
| A subscriber is tagged as a hot lead | A contact is created in your CRM and the owner is alerted |
| A customer asks for a person | Staff are notified and the automation pauses for that conversation |
| A subscriber has opted in to updates | A follow-up is sent inside Meta messaging rules |
| An order form is completed in chat | The order is logged and a confirmation is sent |
How ManyChat connects
ManyChat has a REST API that uses an account key. Flows usually reach other systems through an external request step or through a connector. How ManyChat sends events out to other systems is confirmed against your account during scoping.
ManyChat suits a business that wants its staff to edit flows without code. Where the conversation needs more than a flow builder allows, the same channels can be connected directly, as described on the Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp Business pages.
- A verified partner node in n8n
- A verified Make app
- A Zapier app
What to know before starting with ManyChat
- API access is a feature of ManyChat paid plans. The plan your account needs is confirmed during scoping.
- Request limits apply per API endpoint, as documented by the vendor.
- ManyChat works inside Meta's messaging window and opt-in rules for Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp. It does not remove them.
- Each channel has its own requirement, such as a Facebook Page, an Instagram professional account or a WhatsApp Business account.
- Flows are built in your own ManyChat account, which stays under your ownership.
- Contact details collected in chat are personal data under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and need a stated purpose.
No partner status with ManyChat or its vendor is claimed. Points marked as confirmed during scoping are checked against your own account before a build is quoted.

Questions we get asked
What does a ManyChat setup include?
The flows for your most common conversations, the fields and tags they use, the connection to a sheet or CRM, staff alerts and a hand-over rule. The exact list is written in the scope.
Can ManyChat automate WhatsApp as well as Messenger?
ManyChat supports WhatsApp as a channel. It needs a WhatsApp Business account, and messages sent outside an active conversation follow WhatsApp template rules.
Can ManyChat connect to our CRM or Google Sheets?
Yes, through its API or a connector such as n8n, Make or Zapier, on a plan that includes API access.
Are you a ManyChat partner or agency?
No partner status is claimed. We set up and connect flows in your own account, and ManyChat bills your subscription directly.
Who can edit the flows after handover?
Your team. Flows are named and documented so a staff member can change wording and steps.
