GoHighLevel automation: what we connect and automate in your account
GoHighLevel (HighLevel) is a CRM with pipelines, calendars, forms, email, SMS and built-in workflows. This page describes what can be automated in it and connected to it through its API and n8n, and what to know about plans before a project starts.
- Platform type
- CRM
- Connects via
- REST API v2, webhooks, n8n node
- Main requirement
- API access level depends on the plan
What can be automated with GoHighLevel
Each row is a trigger and what follows it. Your project uses the rows that fit your process.
| When this happens | What the automation does |
|---|---|
| A new Facebook Lead Ad or website form arrives | A contact and an opportunity are created, an owner is assigned and a Viber or SMS alert is sent |
| A call is missed or a new chat starts | A text-back goes out straight away and a follow-up task is created |
| An appointment is booked on a HighLevel calendar | Confirmation and reminder messages go out and the pipeline stage updates |
| An opportunity moves to Won | A review request and an onboarding checklist are triggered |
| New contacts appear in the account | n8n reads them through the API and writes them to Google Sheets or an accounting system |
| A message arrives in the conversation inbox | An AI assistant drafts a reply for staff to approve |
| Old leads are tagged for reactivation | A staged message sequence runs and stops when the lead replies |
How GoHighLevel connects
The official REST API v2 with OAuth 2.0 or a Private Integration Token. Webhooks come through a Marketplace app or the webhook actions inside workflows.
- A native n8n node (HighLevel)
- A verified Make app
- A Zapier app, listed as LeadConnector
What to know before starting with GoHighLevel
- API access level depends on the plan. The vendor's help article states basic API access on the Starter and Unlimited plans and advanced API access on Agency Pro.
- API v1 reached end of support on 31 Dec 2025, so builds use v2.
- The vendor documents request limits: 100 requests per 10 seconds and 200,000 per day per app per location or company.
- SMS and calling inside HighLevel run on its own telephony layer. Philippine sender registration and delivery are confirmed per account during scoping.
No partner status with GoHighLevel or its vendor is claimed. Points marked as confirmed during scoping are checked against your own account before a build is quoted.

How a project would be approached
- Review the GoHighLevel account, its plan and what access it allows

Questions we get asked
What can be automated in GoHighLevel?
Lead capture, assignment, reminders, booking confirmations, stage-based messages and review requests can run inside it. Connections to sheets, accounting and chat channels run through the API and n8n.
What does GoHighLevel require before an integration goes live?
An account on a plan whose API access covers what the project needs, and a Private Integration Token or OAuth app. We check the plan first.
Which plan, approval or fee applies on the GoHighLevel side?
The subscription is billed by HighLevel in your name. SMS and call usage are billed through its telephony layer. Neither is part of our build fee.
