Hire from the Philippines
Hire an AI chatbot developer in the Philippines for an assistant your customers can rely on
We build AI assistants for website chat, WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram that answer from information you approve and pass the conversation to a person when they should. The work is done by a team against a written scope, not by a developer you manage.
- Channels
- Website chat, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram
- Answers from
- Your documents, pages and rules
- Handoff
- To your staff, in the inbox they use
- Priced
- Per project, after scoping
What "hire a chatbot developer" means with us
You are not hiring an individual. You are engaging a team to deliver one assistant: its knowledge base, its instructions, its connection to your channel, its handoff to staff and its notes. When that is live and documented, the project is complete, and support is optional.
Teams that want an in-house developer to keep extending a chat product every day are better served by staffing. The agency or staff comparison covers that choice.
- Suits: a business answering the same questions in chat all day and wanting staff freed for the harder ones
- Suits: a company whose customers write outside office hours and currently wait for the next working day
- Suits: an agency adding chat assistants to what it offers clients
Where the assistant can run, and what each channel asks for
Channel rules belong to the channel owner. The points below are general; your own account is checked against the current policy during scoping.
| Channel | How it connects | What you need to have |
|---|---|---|
| Website chat | A chat widget on your site, connected to the assistant | Access to add a script to the site, or a developer who can |
| The WhatsApp Business Platform, through Meta or a solution provider | A Meta business account, a phone number for the platform and approved message templates for messages you start | |
| Messenger | Meta's Messenger Platform, connected to your Facebook Page | Admin access to the Page |
| Instagram messaging through Meta, on a professional account | A professional Instagram account linked to a Facebook Page |
On Meta's channels, a business can reply freely only for a limited period after the customer's last message, and WhatsApp messages sent outside that period need an approved template. Meta charges its own messaging fees on WhatsApp. More detail: WhatsApp chatbot, Messenger chatbot and Instagram DM automation.
The parts of a finished assistant
Knowledge
A knowledge base from your content
Your help pages, price lists, policies and past answers, organised so the assistant can find the right passage. See knowledge assistants.
Instructions
Rules for what it says
Tone, the topics it covers, the topics it declines, and the sentence it uses when it does not know.
Handoff
A handoff to a person
Triggers such as a complaint, a refund request or a direct ask for a human pass the chat to staff with a summary.
Capture
Details recorded
Name, contact and what the customer wants are written to your CRM or a sheet, so a follow-up does not depend on reading the chat.
Disclosure
It says it is automated
The assistant introduces itself as an automated assistant. Customers are not led to think they are chatting with a person.
Review
A way to see what it said
Conversations are logged where your team can read them, with the unanswered questions collected for the next content update.

What a handoff looks like
CustomerDo you ship to Perth, and can I change the delivery address on an order I placed this morning?
AssistantI am an automated assistant. Yes, we ship to Perth; delivery options are shown at checkout. Changing an address on a placed order needs a member of staff. May I have your order number so I can pass this on?
CustomerIt is the one under my email, placed today.
AssistantThank you. I have passed your request and email to the team with a note about the address change. A person will reply here.
The assistant answers the part it has information for and hands over the part that needs a decision. The wording is yours to approve.
How the engagement runs
Scope, build, test, handover, support
Scope
Which channel, which questions, which handoff triggers, which system records the lead. Channel requirements are checked against your accounts.
Build the knowledge and the rules
We prepare the content, write the instructions and connect the channel in a test setup.
Test with real questions
You supply questions customers actually ask, including awkward ones. Your reviewer reads every reply and marks changes.
Launch and handover
The assistant goes live at a time you choose. You receive the content sources, the instructions, the access list and a recorded walkthrough.
Support, if wanted
Content updates, review of unanswered questions and changes when a channel policy shifts, quoted separately.
A team on UTC+8 and an assistant that answers on your clock
The build
Calls inside an agreed window
The Philippines keeps UTC+8 all year. Live calls for scoping, test review and handover fall in an overlap window set for your region.
The assistant
It runs in your time zone
Opening times, handoff schedules and out-of-office wording are set to your local time, and your staff take handoffs during their own working day.
Reviews
Test replies sent in writing
Batches of test conversations are sent for your reviewer to mark up, so approval does not wait for a call.
What we need from you, and what a first assistant includes
We need from you
- The content the assistant should answer from, even in rough form
- A list of questions customers ask most, and the ones staff must handle
- Admin access to the channel: site, Meta business account or Page
- A model API key in your own account, or agreement on who holds it
- A reviewer who approves replies, and staff who will take handoffs
A first assistant includes
- One channel
- One knowledge base built from your content
- Handoff to staff with a conversation summary
- Lead or enquiry details recorded in one system
- A test round, handover notes and a walkthrough
What is left out, the limits, and what moves the price
Left out and limits
- Left out: channel fees, model usage and any chat platform subscription, billed by the vendors
- Left out: writing your policies. The assistant states them; it does not decide them
- An AI assistant can give a wrong answer. Testing, a narrow scope and handoff reduce that and do not remove it
- It should not give medical, legal or financial advice, or take payment card details in chat
- Channel owners can change their rules, and an account that breaks them can be restricted
What moves the price
- The number of channels
- The size and tidiness of the content
- How many languages it answers in
- How many systems it reads from or writes to
- Booking, order lookup or other actions beyond answering
- Support and content updates after launch

Name the channel, the kind of questions you get and your country and time zone.
Questions we get asked
Who owns the assistant, its prompts and its knowledge base?
You do. The channel accounts, the model API key and the content are yours, and the instructions we write are handed over in full. Nothing is locked to an account of ours.
Where do customer conversations sit?
In the channel itself, in the tool that hosts the assistant and with the model provider that processes each message. The scope names all three, and you can check each provider's data terms against your own privacy obligations.
Will it tell customers it is a bot?
Yes. It introduces itself as an automated assistant. That is our standing practice on every build, and the wording of the introduction is yours to approve.
Can it answer in languages other than English?
Current models handle many languages. Each language you want is tested with your reviewer, since quality varies by language and by how the content is written.
What if WhatsApp or Meta changes its policy?
Policies and fees on Meta's channels are revised from time to time. The handover notes record which parts depend on them, and adjustments are made under support or as a quoted change.
Do you build voice assistants too?
Voice is a related build with its own telephony requirements. It is covered on the AI voice assistant page and scoped separately from chat.
How are quotes, contracts and NDAs handled?
The quote follows the scope and lists our fee apart from channel and model costs. Engagement terms and confidentiality agreements are handled per engagement, before content or access is shared.
Next step
Send us ten questions your customers ask.
With the channel and those questions we can say what a first assistant would cover and where it would hand over.
