Integration
GCash integration: accepting GCash through a payment gateway and automating what follows
GCash does not offer a general public merchant API that a small business can call directly. Most businesses accept GCash through a payment gateway that lists it as a payment method. This page describes what can be automated around that route.

What can be automated with GCash
Each row is a trigger and what follows it. Your project uses the rows that fit your process.
| When this happens | What the automation does |
|---|---|
| A customer pays with GCash on a website or in chat | The gateway checkout or payment link takes the payment |
| A gateway payment succeeds | The order is marked paid and a receipt message is sent |
| A payment fails or expires | A reminder goes out with a fresh link |
| The day ends | A settlement report is matched to orders for the bookkeeper |
| A booking needs a deposit | A payment link is sent before the slot is confirmed |
How GCash connects
GCash states that its API portal is available only to selected partner organizations, with onboarding through a GCash account manager. For most businesses, GCash acceptance is automated through a payment gateway whose API lists GCash as a payment method, such as PayMongo, Xendit or Dragonpay.
The automation then listens to the gateway's webhooks: payment succeeded, failed or expired.
What to know before starting with GCash
- There is no general public merchant API for a small business to call directly.
- Personal GCash accounts and QR screenshots cannot be verified automatically. Payment confirmation needs a gateway webhook.
- Each gateway has its own merchant onboarding and its own activation of the GCash method.
- Whether a given gateway offers GCash on your account is confirmed during scoping.
No partner status with GCash or its vendor is claimed. Points marked as confirmed during scoping are checked against your own account before a build is quoted.
What we need for a GCash project
We need from you
- Access to the payment gateway account, or help opening one
- A named owner who approves changes
- Test payments in the gateway's test mode
How a project would be approached
- Review the GCash account, its plan and what access it allows
- Build and test the connection on a test account or test records first
- Staff approve the first live runs before the rest go live
- Written handover notes; the accounts stay yours

Questions we get asked
Is there a GCash API a small business can use?
Not directly. GCash states that its API portal is open to selected partner organizations. Small businesses accept GCash through a payment gateway.
Can a screenshot of a GCash payment trigger an automation?
Not reliably. A screenshot cannot be verified automatically. A gateway webhook is the dependable signal that a payment arrived.
Which gateway should we use?
That depends on the fees, onboarding and the payment methods you need. We list the options that offer GCash in the scope, and the choice stays with you.
